The moment has arrived my fellow comic book movie loving geeks, “Captain America: Brave New World” is opening up today in theaters across the country and of course in other nations around the world. This continues the expansion of the MCU on film after the “Deadpool & Wolverine” film which was absolute craziness. Other posts relating to the film can be found by clicking on its hyperlinked title in the opening sentence. As most know, the famed shield of Steve Rogers is now in the hands of Sam Wilson who dons the mantle in a patriotic suit crafted by Wakandan engineering. This all firmed up at the end of “The Falcon and The Winter Soldier” series that Disney+ aired a few years ago. That was a really good one in case you missed it but now without any further adieu, let’s check out the theatrical poster, light premise and some casting.
The Premise: Following the election of Thaddeus Ross as the president of the United States, Sam Wilson finds himself at the center of an international incident and must work to stop the true masterminds behind it. (c/o Wiki)

PiercingMetal Thoughts: When I posted the trailer content I pointed out that I was quite excited for the film and planned on seeing it very early in its theatrical run. Sure the geek-minded couples can consider this a cool Valentine’s present but since some of my viewing group needs to spend time with their significant others I’ve decided to wait until next Monday to check it out. It’s an exciting time to be a fan of the Marvel Studios stuff as during the Big Game we got another trailer for “Thunderbolts*” and the week before we got “Fantastic Four: First Steps” and I am chomping at the bit for both of them. As I wrap this up and prepare to avoid as much discussion about the film as possible, I wonder who out there in the readership is looking to go at some point today or even this weekend. I’ll be interested in your comments but the means to chime in will be disabled under I see the film on Monday to avoid spoilers. I am going to have a hard enough time not talking about it during this weekends Cosmic Con. That’s a relatively new comic convention that’s held in New York City. Okay I am outta here. See you again soon, and keep on keeping on.
