Do not adjust your internet feed or monitor screen because you are not at all imagining things. Yes, “Avengers: Endgame” is a film that has already been released and actually just completed its first box-office run on 6/20. The film was nothing short of a blockbuster draw and has brought in $2.751 billion dollars in ticket sales since opening. It is listed as the second highest grossing film of all time, falling short of 2009’s “Avatar” by only $37 million dollars. Today the film is being re-released with additional footage and a bonus scene or two which as you recall were not a part of the first film if you were among the throngs that saw it during the first go round. PiercingMetal Thoughts: You might have realized that I pretty much copied all of my original “Now Playing” post since it pretty much had all that I needed to share with you today. I saw the film about four days after it opened based on a crazy itinerary but I didn’t have a single second spoiled for me since I stayed off all of the social networks until I managed to get into the theater. I loved the film and while I planned on seeing it a second or third time, the schedule of other things to do prevented me from making this a reality. Now I will get my chance and with a better reason at the end of the day. I don’t think I can get to this today and hope that the re-release extends beyond the weekend and at least gives me some more days to decide on when to go. I’d like to go on Wednesday since the theater closest to me is right near the comic book store and that is also new comic book day. What about you readers? Are you planning on seeing it again or are you one of the few that didn’t see it during the first go round. Be advised that the original film was three hours long and now there is bonus content so prepare yourself. It’s been reported that about “7” minutes have been added and this amounts to a Stan Lee tribute and a deleted scene among some other treats. See you next time.
