In “The Usual Suspects” we hear the phrase that “The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn’t exist”. While that might have been true for the feature, he apparently really does exist and returns for a fifth season on the Netflix streaming service. You might recall that “Lucifer” was saved from television oblivion by the heavy hitter service back for Season 4 and now Luci returns with the first trailer for Season 5. Take a look.

The Premise: Lucifer is back and acting…strange. Get ready – this season all your desires will be fulfilled. Season 5 Part 1 premieres August 21 only on Netflix.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I breezed through the trailer based on my not having seen a single minute of Season 4 and that was because I decided to use the quarantine lockdown time to clear up my almost full DVR. I think my unit was at 98% when this all began and as I cobble these thoughts together I am sitting at an easy to manage 7% full. A number of shows that I liked went away this past season such as “Criminal Minds” and “Arrow” while others are heading this way like “Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.”. Having mentioned that I was already a fan of the program before its rescue means that I will watch but just need to get the time back in to do so. One of the other things I made sure to finalize was finishing all the Marvel Netflix shows but now that I am done with that I can get into the other shows on Netflix that I need to be on point with. What about you fine readers? Are you ready to dance with the devil in the pale Netflix light? Chime in down below in the comments section and pardon my occasional bit of corny. See you next time.
