New York Comic Con 2025 Takes Over The PiercingMetal Instagram

At the time that you are reading this, I am already on my way to the currently in progress New York Comic Con which began its annual takeover of the Javits Center this past Thursday. The 2025 edition of the famed convention marks my fifteenth annual attendance in a professional capacity and with my being a close to lifetime fan of comic books, toys related to said franchises and Science Fiction and Horror films I knew that 2025 was going to be a bountiful affair. Now speaking of takeovers, this post is being cobbled together to let you know that our Official PiercingMetal Instagram is going to be rife with visuals and videos from the New York Comic Con. I know that I’ve usually done these in the past but this time around I am starting with this part of the content creation to start your day off properly. According to my mobile device, the calculated steps I’ve taken over the previous two days are just shy of 20K which amounts to being just short of 10 miles. Saturday was going to be chaotic busy at the convention and I’m off to a Metal show post so I’d rather you all be tooling around on The Gram nice and early and being more in the mix with me as its all happening. My plan of action is to snap as much as possible for the social media platforms and the eventual website day by day features. For those who want to be able to bookmark the website stuff to come and the announcements that have already gone live just click HERE as that will feature every single post on the WordPress from this years edition of New York Comic Con. Down below you’ll find one of the first posts that I placed on the Instagram related to the convention and some of the posts will have multiple images since that is occasionally the wisest course of action to take.

At the time of this posting there are more than 12.2K posts on our Official Instagram and that’s about 700 more since the last NYCC that we did. Now I should stress that while there are 12.2K posts, the number of photographs actually resident on the profile is likely closer to 12.5K because I’ve gotten fairly savvy about putting a number of images into a single post over the last year. For instance, when I do my comic book pull list posts they often have between 10-20 images themselves and for the most part that pattern of behavior works out. Now I guess is as good a time as any for the hard sell and say that if you like what we are doing please make sure to give the profile a follow and then do some deep scrolling to enjoy the stuff that’s already happened before you arrived. You can also click the hearts and comment in if you have some topical thoughts to share. Doing this will help the profile stand out in the algorithm which is something that is almost always impossible to figure out. For things like the New York Comic Con it also helps out if you recognize any of the cosplayers or know the characters that I might not be up to speed on so I can edit the copy and tag the proper parties. I do my very best to “like” or comment back when I see that kind of engagement and since this is a numbers game I cannot stress enough how your participation helps to keep us in play. Since I have started out slower with this years New York Comic Con there aren’t more than a dozen posts at this time but don’t worry because I know what I’ve already photographed to share and there are still two more days to stockpile the stuff. I do not think you will be disappointed with the feed. I do have a few photos of friends and myself but I’ve never really been a “look at me look at me” sort of person like I see others doing and when you do see me you will notice that my cosplay is of me attending New York Comic Con as a regular person. For the last couple of years I’ve attended the first day in some kind of KISS Shirt since they are my favorite band. I often see a lot of attendees in assorted Metal band shirts and I was entertaining some kind of video with those fans but once I got up and running I couldn’t rationalize how I wanted to do the feature so maybe something for next year. As far as the rest of the planned NYCC Coverage its too early for me to determine but as usual it will be a lot and hopefully something that rises above the appeal of other media outlets that attend the famed convention. Remember that everything we do gets referenced for the next years edition of the New York Comic Con and there are not only competing outlets of similar nature but also the legitimate influencers and those who mostly talk bigger than the content they deliver. Wrapping up we do thank you for any of your attention and appreciate your time here on the site. More NYCC stuff coming soon, but you knew that already.
