The time has come and well, actually also gone but with that being said, the PiercingMetal High Command was recently in attendance for all four days of the 2024 edition of the famed New York Comic Con. This year marked my fourteenth annual attendance in a professional capacity and as a diehard comic book and assorted geek culture things fan I knew that I would be put to task. I tend to cover the event solo and that means there was going to be a lot of exploring in the Javits Center. The space has been expanded over the recent years which means even more halls and aisles to get ourselves to. The purpose of this post is to make our readers aware that the Official Instagram for the website would once again be overtaken by the New York Comic Con in terms of the regular feed posts and the Reels. The full editorial narratives are being compiled as you read this with some of them already online along with any post convention announcements and alerts from the myriad of comic book industry companies that were in attendance. Not only will those posts be on PiercingMetal but they are also all resident on our self-proclaimed executive editorial branch of Ken Pierce Media. The plan and practices was the same as in previous attendances with content being shared on the site and also YouTube clips, these Instagram images and TikToks. The like-minded geeks can keep pace with the website editorial pieces by clicking HERE and the first of our Instagram images is linked below. Most of them will be exclusive to our Instagram with the occasional making an appearance in our four-day coverage of the convention.
At the time of this posting there are more than 11.5K images on our Official Instagram which is about 800 more since the last time that we did this particular kind of post. Its here that I give you the hard sell and say that if you like what we do that you come along and give the profile a follow and also scroll through as much of the content as you can do and also click those hearts that you see. Doing this will help the profile out in the algorithm which is something that is always impossible to figure out. It also helps out if you recognize any of the cosplayers or know the characters that I might not be up to speed on so I can edit the copy. I do my very best to “like” or comment back when I see that kind of engagement and since this is a numbers game we cannot stress enough how your participation keeps us in play. From this years New York Comic Con I’ve already uploaded about “60” images and there are so many to add to the mix over the coming weeks. There are a few photos with me in them but this is not the kind of profile where the whole thing is a “look at me look at me” mindset that I often see happening out there. Though I wasn’t in any kind of cosplay at the con I did have a Punisher t-shirt on during the Friday edition. Post event it was reported that there were more than 200K attendees and I smile when I think that a couple of hundred of them will be featured in this run of images. I’ll wrap up now since I not only have to do these posts but I am also ensconced in the day to day coverage and getting all of our videos uploaded to the YouTube Channel. I hope you’ve enjoyed what you’ve seen so far and hope that this inspires you to be a part of the New York Comic Con in the future. With so many competing brands all vying for your attention nowadays in terms of legitimate influencers and those who mostly talk bigger than the content they deliver, we humbly send a word of “thanks as always for your interest”. Until next time, which will be soon based on our publishing regimen.
