The time has come my fine-feathered geeks, the much-lauded New York Comic Con has returned to the Halls of Javits and will be keeping you busy for the next four days if you are one of the folks that will be in attendance. Much like the 2021 event, this years happening will be following some safety protocols which I lined out HERE in case you missed it. It’s not as strict as last year but you will need to be up to speed and plan on following the directions. I am excited to announce that PiercingMetal will once more be among the members of the press exploring the floor and bringing the experience to your desktops or mobile devices if you couldn’t be here with us. This will be my twelfth year attending and I cannot wait to see all the friends I have made here once again.
As is my usual fun practice for this kind of announcement I’ve added the press badge photo and spruced it up a little and used a hexagonal die to showcase the number “12” for our year of attending. I thought it would be more interesting to try that this time around. Longtime attendees will notice that once again we are not seeing “The Walking Dead” on the badges and I think that’s a relief since it was getting out of hand. Hey I love the show and am sad to find it ending with this season but there were so many other cool things the badges could have had on them with all the Marvel Studios and DC output but we never got that. So as expected a whole lot of photos will be taken and discussions captured on video for assorted topics. Make sure you are following along on these social networks of the Official Instagram for the quick pics, highlights and as they happen observations to the Facebook and Twitter and a running feed over on the Ken Pierce Media Tumblr for those who are still enjoying that medium. Not only will I be snagging some short videos for the YouTube Channel but I’ve even begun noodling around with a TikTok profile. We ask our audience to please be sure that they are subscribing to or following all of our different approaches since the numbers truly count all the more based on the lay of the land in a post-pandemic scene.
