Though I’ve already mentioned this in other posts and on my other Social Media Platforms along with discussions with those I see in public, I’m happy to remind the audience that the PiercingMetal website aka Me, Ken Pierce, will be returning to the rapidly growing New York Comic Con for our third straight year as a member of the Press. The event is their seventh and as a longtime fan of all things comic books and Science Fiction I am really excited to be exploring it once again. The reason for this post is to announce that I will also be planning on using this Instagram network as much as possible to hopefully help raise more website interest and overall awareness. I’ve only had the account for I think about a month so there aren’t a whole lot of photographs to check out just yet but going forward let’s see how much more special I can make PiercingMetal by using it. Believe it or not, I could NOT secure the actual brand identity and am using PiercingMetalNYC instead which will have to do. One of my first photos for the NYCC 2012 adventuring is the cool press badge which is themed from the hit show “The Walking Dead”. I guess the other badges have some of the cast characters but as you can see here, the media have a ravenous looking zombie. I guess that applies for some of us out there in the scene. Are you going to the New York Comic Con?
So as I try to wrap this one up, here’s what I’d like you to do. First and foremost, please “Follow” this platform because its already big and I’ve only just started out on it. What I am noticing is that all of this Social Media is a numbers game and you are thought to be “less” than someone who might only have 25 more followers than you. Leave the entertainment to me, I promise to keep it fun and even exciting at times. Especially with an event like this where one literally can meet hundreds of people on a single day. After you’ve followed it I am going to ask that you engage with the posts by liking them or maybe commenting. One thing that is hard to do at Comic Con is taking notes of everyone you meet and I don’t have an assistant wandering around with me so if you see a friend please shout them out so I can make a note as well. That’s really all I have to say about this. I am truly looking forward to sharing a lot of images here on this new Social Media Platform and of course in the website day by day coverage that will be coming soon as well.
