A few days ago we got a quick teaser clip that was really used to serve up the date for the second season of Marvel’s “The Punisher”. At the time I felt it might be our only look at the upcoming season since the show was set to air in just more than a week. However, just a short time ago, the full Official Trailer was released and I present it to you down below. Now might be a good time to subscribe to Netflix if you haven’t already done so.

Premise: In the first season, Frank Castle, known throughout New York City as “the Punisher” after exacting revenge on those responsible for the death of his family, uncovers a larger conspiracy beyond what was done to him and his family.[1] The second season sees Castle, who has been living a quiet life on the road, drawn into the mystery surrounding the attempted murder of Amy Bendix, forcing him to decide if he should embrace his life as the Punisher. PiercingMetal Thoughts: Holy smokes that was awesome and what a great use for the Alice In Chains classic “Would” which should find some increased downloads and purchases on the mediums of the day. As a lifer fan of Marvel Comics and “The Punisher” I have to admit that Jon Bernthal has done a fantastic job of bringing the character to life. Dolph tried and failed but it was the fault of the script and not him, never saw the second film and while I liked Thomas Jane, they played too loose with the canon for my taste. With Bernthal, they expanded upon the classic origin story into something that made relevant sense. We have eight days to wait for the premiere so we can binge watch it and then lament its inevitable cancellation by Netflix just afterwards. Oh come on, like that isn’t going to happen after what we’ve seen go on for “Iron Fist”, “Luke Cage” and “Daredevil”. What did you think of this brand new trailer? Chime in down below.
