I guess it was about a month ago that I showcased some character posters for the second season of the Netflix Original Series “Stranger Things”. They were cool and showcased some new additions to the cast and here we are once again with a new batch of visuals. This time around, Netflix has given us posters that are done in honor of some classic Horror and Science Fiction movies of the past. I really liked these and think that you will as well. They follow the show premise and I’ll close up with some additional editorial thoughts.

The Premise: Stranger Things is set in the fictional rural town of Hawkins, Indiana, during the early 1980s. The nearby Hawkins National Laboratory ostensibly performs scientific research for the United States Department of Energy, but secretly does experiments into the paranormal and supernatural, including those that involve human test subjects. These start to affect the unknowing residents of Hawkins in calamitous ways. (thanks Wiki)

PiercingMetal Thoughts: So how many of the original movies could you tell these posters were in tribute to? I knew a few of them just from looking but the rest I had to look up. Sadly, I still haven’t managed to binge watch the first season and that will have to take a backseat for the time being since the NY Comic Con will be starting up in a few short days and I always have some preparation to do before that massive event. I will suggest that anyone interested in the affair who might not be attending or be too far away to even be interested in coming to check out our OFFICIAL INSTAGRAM. My plan is to load up as many images of cosplayers and interesting sights as possible but I digress.
