This is a message going out to all fans of “Lucifer” and no, I am not referring to the super cool Swedish Hard Rock band that bears the same name. I’m talking about the television show that was cancelled by Fox not too long ago. The series has been “saved” by the folks over at Netflix and will premiere in the coming weeks. The first trailer was just released so do please check it out down below. I’ve included some premise, casting and a little bit of art before my closing thoughts.

The Premise:
Reeling from the aftermath of Chloe seeing his devil face, Lucifer faces a new challenge: Eve, the original sinner herself, is back. Does she want revenge for when he tempted her out of Eden oh so many years ago… or something else entirely? Lucifer Season 4 premieres May 8 only on Netflix.

The Cast/Characters:
Tom Ellis as Lucifer Morningstar
Lauren German as Detective Chloe Decker
Kevin Alejandro as Detective Daniel “Dan” Espinoza
D. B. Woodside as Amenadiel
Lesley-Ann Brandt as Mazikeen
Scarlett Estevez as Beatrice “Trixie” Espinoza
Rachael Harris as Dr. Linda Martin
Aimee Garcia as Ella Lopez
Inbar Lavi as Eve

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I admit that I was sad when Fox cancelled the show but sat back with a smile that it had at least gotten 3 seasons out of the network. They are usually prone to cancelling stuff after one or two seasons unless its “The Simpsons” or “X-Files” and some others that ran for some time. Finding the show being picked up by Netflix was awesome as I really enjoyed it. It was a far different take on the Vertigo comic series but it really worked and had a lot of interesting characters making appearances. Nothing crossed over with the CW Network “Arrowverse” as I imagine the world that Lucifer is on is somewhere else in the DC Television Multiverse but as I said the show worked and was thrilling as much as it was funny and sometimes heart-wrenching. The other reason I am glad that its on Netflix is that I can free up some space on my DVR and not have to worry about programming it. I hope you liked the trailer since it looks like this will be an interesting ride for sure. Chime in down below with what you thought about this and oh yeah about the Swedish band with the same name…..listen to them, they absolutely rock! See you next time.
