As promised, I’m returning to the Pop Culture section of the PiercingMetal website to bring you another trailer for the upcoming Netflix film “Damsel”. It was back in November when I posted the Official Teaser, and since that feels like a lifetime ago you can refresh the memory by clicking HERE. Now its time to enjoy the Official Trailer for the film that will premiere on the streaming service in early March. As usual I’m following the clip with the premise, casting and some promotional artwork. Enjoy.

The Premise: A dutiful, sheltered young noblewoman agrees to marry a handsome prince, only to discover that his family intends to sacrifice her to repay an ancient debt. Trapped in the cave of a fearsome dragon, she must rely on her wits and will to survive.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: When I shared the teaser trailer I pointed out that I was a fan of Millie’s already and I’ve long since enjoyed the Sword and Sorcery genre in books and films so I was probably going to watch this one. That viewpoint has not changed and while this trailer is a bit deeper it strikes me as one that shows too darned much of the overall plot. Dear studios, we do NOT need to see every single exciting moment in a trailer. You have an audience for something like this and people will watch. Okay I will get off the soapbox now and wrap this up by asking you all what you thought about the trailer and if you are planning on watching this one when it premieres on Netflix next month.
