The Press Release:
The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) announced that MetroCard vending machines at two Manhattan subway stations will be loaded with limited edition cards honoring native New York City rock band KISS ahead of their final shows at Madison Square Garden.
KISS will play two shows from their “End of the Road” tour at Madison Square Garden on Friday, Dec. 1 and Saturday, Dec. 2.
MetroCards featuring a portrait of the band on the reverse side will be available for purchase beginning at 12:01 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 27 on a first come, first served basis. Cards will be solely available at certain vending machines at the following locations in Manhattan:
34 St-Penn Station: A, C, E
34 St-Penn Station: 1, 2, 3
34 St-Herald Sq: B, D, F, M, N, Q, R, W
PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’ve already posted about the “KISS NYC Takeover” which you can read by clicking HERE for all the other stuff. I decided to let the Metrocard release have its own post since the MTA released images of the soon to be available card on their own website. Now as you can imagine I am going to try and secure one or two of these when they are loaded up into the special vending machines and I only hope that people aren’t planning on hoarding them and ripping off their fellow KISS fans. That’s likely a pipe dream I know.
Update 11/27/2023: I got it 🙂
