MORBID ANGEL will be touring in support of their Kingdoms Disdained full-length released in 2017 via Silver Lining Music. The critically-adored record reunites founding guitarist Trey Azagthoth with bassist/vocalist Steve Tucker. Captured at Mana Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida and produced by MORBID ANGEL with Erik Rutan, the record delivers eleven pieces of devastatingly dynamic death metal. Rolling Stone hailed a, “cyclone of blastbeat-driven fury punctuated with Azagthoth’s signature heaving, lunging grooves and Eddie Van Halen-on-a-bad-trip solos,” while Metal Injection crowned the record, “one of the band’s most essential efforts,” adding, “the record contains almost wall to wall instant classics, and is not only Steve Tucker’s best album as MORBID ANGEL frontman, but by extension the group’s most genre-defining effort since 1995’s iconic Domination.”

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’m going to suggest that the fans get their tickets now because this one will surely sell out on the quick. Having seen Morbid Angel on their most recent go round can attest to the level of brutality that they are still bringing to the table. Watain is without question a band that will leave your soul dirty and Incantation will start off the crush before Morbid Angel decimates you and your town and all within the venue walls. This will be a tour for the record books so don’t miss out. My own regions show is at The Warsaw which I don’t think I’ve gone to yet believe it or not. I would have loved to find this one at the Playstation Theater based on the venue closing up in the weeks after our regional performance. I am sure going to miss that place and have seen Morbid Angel there a few times along with hundreds of other crushing Metal bands but I digress. It’s time to let the rest of the day happen and as I make my exit I wonder what you readers think about this tour. Please chime in down in the comments section below. See you next time.
