Marvel’s “U.S. Avengers #1 State Variant Covers Are Here!

This coming January, Marvel Comics is releasing a new title called “U.S. Avengers” and according to its press copy below this sounds to be a very exciting title. The title is written by Al Ewing with art by Paco Medina. Check it out.

“In a world beset by danger, the United States of America needs a team of heroes they can rely on. Welcome to… American Intelligence Mechanics! A.I.M. will dare any danger — no matter how awesome that danger might be — to save their nation from the wildest, weirdest threats of all! The most patriotic super-group ever is here to save the day. And they’ll do it all looking tried & true in the red, white & blue! Can you live without…the U.S.Avengers?”

Marvel has also offered up a very unique presentation when it comes to the variant covers for this first issue. You see, there are going to be issues for every single state along with a couple of closely connected ties and when you connect them all in a row it represents the US Flag. I’ve secured the image of this for you just below. Isn’t it awesome.

All of these variants have been done by artist Rod Reis and I’ve painstakingly downloaded and prepped ALL of the numerous state variant covers to assist you in your collecting if you are “that fan” who wants a copy of each one. This post will also be helpful if you just need a visual reminder in tracking down your respective state at your local comic book shop. Enjoy the scrolling.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Wasn’t that something? Whew. I am blown away by how cool it all looks together but I don’t think I am purchasing any of these variants for myself since its going to be coming out just after the Christmas holidays for me. I’d love to see Marvel putting out a single edition with all of the covers though as I think that would be something cool for the collection as well. I’ll definitely be reading the first issue of the title when it comes out in January. What do you think of this one? I realize that I will be speaking about the title again in the January first-issue posts but with this many variants it deserved a post of its own. You can share your thoughts in the comments below.
