Marvel’s True Believers Ask Readers “What If?” In October

Hot on the heels of the most recent True Believers one-dollar issues that showcased the “MARVEL KNIGHTS” we get another exciting offering with October’s “WHAT IF? TRUE BELIEVERS MONTH!” I don’t know about you readers, but it sure seems like the fine folks at the House Of Ideas are looking to make these more of a regular occurrence and I am fine with that. We didn’t find an actual press release to go along with these but do have the cover art and the reference of what original issue the titles are based on. Let’s take a look.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: This is a group of one-dollar comics that I can hardly wait for. Growing up as a collector of this title, there were stories in them that found me not stopping until the final page. Sure a lot of us read our comics like this, but at the age I am speaking of, I hardly stood still for very long. Fans of these affordable True Believers offerings should prepare to purchase a few full complete sets because this is the series that you want to make as a present to the younger fan in your world. What I’ve often said about these one-dollar comics, is that they really and truly help promote an interest in the collecting hobby. It also makes someone’s day to receive a pile of comics from someone and it won’t even set you back more than $10 this time around. Most of the issues run 32 pages with a small amount reaching 40 pages. Not bad for a buck apiece. I’ll close up now but wonder if you were fans of the “What If” title way back when and are considering picking up these issues when they hit the stands. Since we still have a few weeks before the first ones come out, you’ll want to speak to your local comic book retailer and make sure that he has them set aside for your weekly pull list. Alright, now its back to everything else. I will see you again soon.
