As I’ve been close to a lifelong fan of the Marvel Comics output on the racks, it was pretty much assumed that I would also be a fan of the television programs that bring many of the characters to life. “Agents Of SHIELD” has had an exciting few seasons and for those fans who gave up on the show early, I can say that you really missed out on some fun stuff. The series returns in May with its 7th and Final Season and here is the first full trailer of what is to be expected.
Season 6 Brief: As the sixth season begins, the S.H.I.E.L.D. agents divide into two groups: One heads to space to find Fitz, who is lost following the last season’s time-traveling, while the other remains on Earth to face a team of mercenaries led by Sarge, a man that looks just like Coulson.
The Premise: Season seven sees Coulson, now a Life Model Decoy, and his team stranded in 1931 New York City, looking for clues to prevent the Chronicom hunters from establishing Earth as their new home, Chronyca-3, before the Zephyr time-jumps to another point in history.
The Cast/Characters (Main and Guest):
Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson
Ming-Na Wen as Melinda May

PiercingMetal Thoughts: As someone that’s been following the show since the very first season, I am very curious to see how it all pans out when this final season draws to a close. While I felt that it was a bit of a slow burn in the first season and part of the second, I was hooked by the third and into where we left off in the finale of S6. Though I will miss it as a regular program, my hope is that it will occasionally return as a special feature broadcast on Disney+ since some of these characters are great. With Coulson being an LMD now, it would be awesome to find him back in the MCU of films and working in tandem with Commander Fury on the eventual S.W.O.R.D. station. I’ve already programmed this into my DVR and remember the show will begin its run just after the Memorial Day weekend so mark it down. What did you think about this trailer?
