Marvel’s ABC Drama “Inhumans” Complete Cast Revealed

Fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and its continual building of connected characters will be happy to learn that “The Inhumans” have revealed their full cast for the upcoming television mini-series. Take a look at a classic team bit of art by the legendary Jack Kirby and then I’ll return at the close of the piece with some thoughts.

The Premise:Set in present day, the series is centered on Black Bolt and other members of the Inhuman Royal Family.

The Cast and Characters:
Anson Mount as Black Bolt: The Head of the Inhuman Royal Family and King of Attilan, whose voice can cause destruction with the slightest whisper.
Serinda Swan as Medusa: The wife of Black Bolt and Queen of Attilan, who has the ability to move and control her hair.
Iwan Rheon as Maximus: An Inhuman with a strong devotion to the people of Attilan, who desires to be king over his brother Black Bolt.
Ken Leung as Karnak: Black Bolt’s cousin and closest adviser, who can “see the fault in all things” and acts as the Royal Family’s strategist and philosopher.
Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon: Black Bolt’s cousin and leader of Attilan’s military, who can generate seismic waves with his hooves.
Isabelle Cornish as Crystal: Medusa’s sister with the ability to control the elements, and the youngest member of the Royal Family with a deep devotion to them.
Mike Moh as Triton: Black Bolt’s cousin who has the ability to live underwater.
Sonya Balmores as Auran: The Head of the Royal Guards on Attilan, with a fierce loyalty to Black Bolt.
Ellen Woglom as someone who works at a private aerospace company with a personal passion for space and things related to the Moon.
Lockjaw, Crystal’s 2,000-pound (910 kg) teleporting canine companion, also appears in the series, created through CGI.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: It was interesting to find that The Inhumans would be pulled from the film universe and instead become a television series but what can you do. The films have been wonderful and while the television shows are largely entertaining, they are missing just a little bit “something”. We didn’t get too much in the way of superheroism on the “Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D.” show until the last couple of seasons and “Agent Carter” isn’t coming back at all so something new and focused on powerful characters might be what we need. Personally speaking, I felt that this idea should just be over on the Netflix stuff which has been awesome. I cannot wait to see what “Iron Fist” is like before it leads us into “The Defenders”. I am hoping against hope that no liberties are taken with the costumes that we know from the comics and this is especially the case for the mighty Black Bolt. I think outside of him and Lockjaw that I am most interested in seeing how they do Gorgon and Triton. If this is taking place in the blue area of the Moon, can an appearance by The Watcher be far behind or is he also stuck in the Fantastic Four mire that 20th Century Fox holds on some of these character properties? Only time will tell. So what do you readers think about the idea of an Inhumans television series? Do you think it will fly? Is television the best place for the Marvel Universe? I mean sure The CW does great for the DC Comics heroes while the larger films are “meh” at best. Whatever you think please let me know down in the comments section. Until next time.
