Happy Friday my comic book loving friends. Looks like the mighty Marvel media team wants to send us into the weekend with a little bit of mystery as they sent out an alert with the impacting statement of “The Best Defense”. Attached to the message was this crushing image of The Incredible Hulk. The art is by Ron Garney and Richard Isanove. Since they love to send several images out for this kind of announcement, as they come in I will edit this single post.

Update: 8/24 – 1:30PM – The plot thickens as this exciting image of Namor, The Sub-Mariner surfaces (if you can pardon the terrible aquatic pun).

Update: 8/24 – 2:30PM – Well how about that…..the Silver Surfer. I don’t know about you but these three made up the original “Defenders” team and we are only now missing a certain Sorcerer Supreme.

Update: 8/24 – 4:30PM – Wow. I guess I should have wished for 1 million dollars since I mentioned in the last update that all we were missing was someone “strange” and here he is in the latest update from The House Of Ideas. It’s Doctor Strange ya’ll, and once again by Ron Garney and Richard Isanove.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: As the longer termed comic book readers know, the original Defenders team was Doctor Strange, Namor, Silver Surfer and the Incredible Hulk. Sure there currently is a “street level” Defenders team that features Luke Cage, Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Iron Fist but this is the big kahuna my friends. As I close this notion up I wonder if they will be sending more visuals of the classic team members. Let’s see what happens. What do you think so far? Chime in down below.
