Just as the morning coffee was finishing being brewed here at the Metal Media Command HQ, I received an email that posed the question “Whatever Happened To Earth’s Mightiest Heroes” and the only other bit of information in the message was this colorful banner. There wasn’t much else to go on.
PiercingMetal Thoughts: So before I give my thoughts on this let me share with the newer, and perhaps younger members of the readership that “Heroes Reborn” was an initiative that Marvel Comics undertook back in 1996. During this story, the heroes in The Avengers, Iron Man, Captain America and The Fantastic Four were all revamped in a brand-new universe and set of circumstances. A lot of it was drawn and written by Rob Liefeld and Jim Lee who had launched Image Comics a few years earlier. More about the whole set of stories can be gleaned by clicking the Wikipedia link that I’ve included at the close. Now I’ll admit to not really sharing such vague information all that much but if the pandemic taught me anything, it was to keep bringing the news and updates as often as possible to help distract people from the craziness and uncertainty that surrounds us.
