It was just over a month ago that we shared the second trailer for the upcoming “Captain Marvel” film from Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures and if you missed our post and thoughts about it based on the holidays, just click HERE to see it. I had to admit that it was awesome and that is where I color myself surprised at the reveal of a “First Look” clip which surfaced only a few hours ago. Let’s take a look at this brief clip and then follow it with the premise, casting and another one of the exciting posters for the film.

The Premise: Set in the mid-1990s, Captain Marvel follows Carol Danvers, a former U.S. Air Force fighter pilot, as she turns into one of the galaxy’s mightiest heroes and joins Starforce, an elite Kree military team, before returning home with new questions about her past and identity when the Earth is caught in the center of an intergalactic conflict between two alien worlds. (thanks Wiki).

Brie Larson as Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I must admit that I don’t know why they are releasing a “First Look” clip because the fans are already super excited about the “Captain Marvel” film. Perhaps the fact that their competition over at Warner Brothers are getting close to making $1 billion dollars with the recently opened “Aquaman” film has them a bit worried but they shouldn’t be too concerned. Frankly speaking, I really don’t think we need to keep seeing footage from the film as its going to start risking spoilers at some point which will suck. I loved both trailers and now this additional clip. I remember at the time I posted the second trailer for the film, we were all anticipating the “Godzilla: King Of The Monsters” trailer and the now titled “Avengers: Endgame” one. Clicking either of those titles will bring you to our posts about these trailers. This is truly the start of a promising year in superhero and comic book based films in general and I’d suggest you keep an eye on our “Films and Television” Category if you love this stuff as much as we do. Closing up let me recommend “Aquaman”, “Bumblebee” and “Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse” since all of them were enjoyable and lest I forget, major kudos to Rami Malek and “Bohemian Rhapsody” for winning the Golden Globe Award for “Best Actor” and “Best Picture”. Well done.
