Welcome to our Merry Media Month of May my Friends, I hope you are ready for some Marvel-ous times this month. It appears that we not only have a whole fresh crop of first issues launching this month but the much-anticipated sequel to “Guardians Of The Galaxy” will open up this coming Friday. Some of the new series have a second issue coming out this month so I said what the heck and decided to share that here in this post as well. As usual the cover art and overall premise of these titles comes from the House Of Ideas itself and while there are NUMEROUS variant covers coming out for so many of these issues, I have only placed the cover of the main standard issues. PiercingMetal Thoughts: That’s a lot of stuff isn’t it? It’s surely going to be a month that cleans out the wallet as far as new titles from Marvel are concerned. I have to admit that while I am very interested in the “Secret Empire” mini-series along with the “GOTG” one, I will likely be waiting for a collected edition when it comes to these. Lately it’s been a lot easier to choose this option for my “library” space which is a nice way of saying my long comic boxes. The Guardians sure do have a prolific month ahead of them with all of these issues and the upcoming film is only going to generate a larger interest. I’m pretty stoked for the “Venom” anniversary edition and can’t believe it’s been that long for this menacing character. So what titles are you thinking of picking up across the Media Month of May in terms of the Marvel stuff? You can let me know down in the comments below and don’t forget, this coming Saturday May 6th is “Free Comic Book Day” and I spotlighted a few “must look for” items on THIS POST. See you next time with the DC Comics and Image Comics stuff and perhaps even a few more if you are good.
