The Press Release:
This November, Kate Bishop’s adventure continues! Marvel’s new miniseries, HAWKEYE: KATE BISHOP is a five-part series that follows Kate on a new adventure in a familiar place: back home to New York.

Following a stint in Los Angeles, HAWKEYE: KATE BISHOP picks up at a turning point in Kate’s life when she returns to New York after being convinced by many friends, and a few clues from the case she’s working, to come back to the East Coast. When Kate gets invited to a resort to solve a mysterious jewel heist, she sees it as a confidence-boost, a sign that she’s making the right decision and not going to backslide into her past. The case is perfect…and it’s almost definitely a trap.
The story comes from an elite creative team including New York Times best-selling author Marieke Nijkamp and artist Enid Balám.
“Because Kate’s story is in flux right now, it’s the perfect time to jump on board for the adventure,” writer Marieke Nijkamp told Bustle. “You don’t need to know where she was to enjoy the journey!”
Be there when Kate’s exciting next chapter kicks off in HAWKEYE: KATE BISHOP this November!

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’ve admitted to being behind on the monthlies over the past year based on the pandemic and not always easy to secure one’s titles from the local shops based on supply and demand but that being said, my only background in the Kate Bishop Hawkeye is from when she first hit the pages a couple of years ago. With mini-series, I’ve tended to hold back because they are almost always collected into a single volume rather quick and with this being five issues for the run, AND let’s not forget the Disney+ series where she is set to debut it makes me think that this one in particular will be a quick collected edition. I do like the character and look forward to seeing her fleshed out on the small screen and eventually in a “Young Avengers” sorta scenario which you have to assume will be coming down the pike since Marvel Studios knows no bounds with what they bring to the fans. I’m going to definitely leaf through the pages (carefully of course) when I see this on the racks and as I close up this announcement I wonder what you readers think about the news. Chime in down below and let me know what you think about it all. See you next time around.
