PiercingMetal Thoughts: Now this is the kind of coolness that I can get behind because I have been finding that the overall price of a single comic book today is scaring away the younger readers. Instead of purchasing “10” comics, they are more likely to buy a video game and be glued to the television instead of reading. Then there is the hesitation in the parents or guardian from “taking a chance” on seeing if a stack of comics would go over well as a gift because at $2.99 and higher, who wants to spend in hopes that someone will appreciate them. Money is tight for so many of us and this group of reprints will work wonders for the new and curious collector. There are some good ones here for sure and among my favorites are “Infinity Gauntlet”, “X-Men Alpha” and “Ultimate Comics Spider-Man”. Some are curiousities to me as well and titles that I never got around to so I will be reading “Planet Hulk”, “Civil War” and “House Of M” to see if I need to start digging through the back issue boxes or order online from favored retailers. The idea of owning “10” brand new shiny comics for only $10 makes this a must purchase item and even something that I would suggest you order a couple of copies for to do presents with. You’re only setting yourself back $10 which is the price of a single Starbucks Coffee visit nowadays. As I close this one up you can tell me what you think about this program and if you are as psyched about it as we are. Now that we are running a full WordPress shop here at PiercingMetal with all content under the same umbrella, I look forward to more announcements like this one. Take care.
