So it was just a little more than a month ago that I decided to lend some support to the upcoming Roland Emmerich Science Fiction feature called “Moonfall” with the Teaser Trailer found HERE. By now the more ardent readers of the site know how I am trying to ramp up the Pop Culture narratives as much as the other stuff. This clip is a tad different and is actually the opening five minutes of the film. Watch that down below and then peruse the casting, premise and some artwork.
The Premise: The Moon is knocked from its orbit by an unknown force and put onto a collision course with Earth. Two astronauts and a conspiracy theorist work together to attempt to avert disaster and discover that the moon is not what it seems.
The Cast/Characters:
Halle Berry as Jocinda “Jo” Fowler
Patrick Wilson as Brian Harper
John Bradley as K. C. Houseman
Michael Peña as Tom Lopez
Charlie Plummer as Sonny Harper
Kelly Yu as Michelle
Donald Sutherland as Holdenfield
Eme Ikwuakor as Doug Davidson
Carolina Bartczak as Brenda Lopez
Maxim Roy as Captain Gabriella Auclair
Stephen Bogaert as Albert Hutchings
Azriel Dalman as Sonny Child
PiercingMetal Thoughts: Weird clip right? Off the bat I can say that this looks interesting but also a tad bit confusing. I know its about the Moon heading towards Earth on a destructive course but I am not sure if there is a monster in that field of whatever it was setting its bead on us and attacking. I will decide more when the main Official Trailer comes to light and I will admit that I was surprised to see five minutes of the film released before that has happened. What about you readers? Did you enjoy this longer look and will you be considering this film? Chime in down below in the comments section if you have something topical to add to the mix. I’ll see you sometime soon with something else that I hope you will find interesting. While most sites are slowing down for the holiday break I will be publishing regularly so I will ask you to stay safe out there. Cheers.
