It’s raining and gloomy here in NYC today and that is making me spend far too much time surfing around the web and “ugh” on Facebook but fortunately my email has been hefty with awesome news to share with the readership to get me away from the drivel over there. With that being said, once such note announced an early 2016 tour with a headlining Lamb Of God who will be bringing along Anthrax as direct support and both Deafheaven and Kylesa as the lead off bands. I’ve embedded the tour poster and the official press copy for your indulgence and then I’ll return with my two cents.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I have to say that a tour announcement such as this one is going to find 2016 kicking its Metal mindset into gear nice and early and that is never a bad thing. If you’ve seen them in the past you already know that Lamb Of God remains one of the most exciting of the touring bands in today’s Metal scene. I’ve been following them for about ten years now and find each and every gig to be better than the last. The band has learned from the early masters and now inspires the bands that follow. Speaking of the early masters, the inclusion of Anthrax on this tour run is something that is going to introduce that bands fans to the mayhem and vice versa in some sense as well. Personally speaking I have never seen Deafheaven or Kylesa so their sets are something that I am going to aim to be on point for as well. What do you readers think of this particular show run and the presented acts? I’d love to hear what you think. Perhaps I’ll see some of you at the Hammerstein Ballroom
