The world around us has gotten far too serious and it’s been enough to make The Joker himself scratch his pasty white chin. You know what I’m talking about. The evening news is almost unwatchable and Facebook is a mess and let’s not even get started on what we see happening on Twitter. However the dark is leading us to some measure of light as those who wear “The Glove” are back and have powered up once more to offer us a brand new single with a new instrumental ditty “Kirby”. It’s been far too long between releases from their furious funster’s so I was damned glad to learn it was here and then indulge upon its controller melting melodies.

The song is based on the super popular video game character who goes by the name Kirby and in these games, he is a magnificent superhero that often pulls the worlds fat out of the fire. Sonically speaking, Powerglove seems to have used elements from the characters “Dreamworld” theme and integrated them into their own morphing brand of Metal. It’s a highly energetic track that serves up some tasty guitar licks and speedy drumming and there is even what sounds like an accordion at some points. Dare I say that the song is “Fast And Furious” LOL. Bear in mind that this is an instrumental as Powerglove does not do any singing. I loved it and was glad to find the return. In 2017 the band remains at Alex Berkson (guitar), Nick Avila (bass) and Bassil Silver (drums). The time is now to look for new and very different heroes. We need Kirby and we need Powerglove. Make Metal Fun Again 
