Alright readers you most likely knew this was coming but if you didn’t I am happy to share with you the recent press release that shared the information about the mighty Kamelot returning to our shores for the second wave of their “Haven” world tour. I’ve added that below the tour poster and then shall return with some closing thoughts. Here we go.
The Press Release:
Symphonic Metal Masters KAMELOT released their new album Haven last earlier this year (excl. Asia) on Napalm Records/Universal and Napalm Records/ADA/Warner as an exclusive licensing deal through the band’s KAMELOT MUSIC LLC. Haven is available for purchase at the Napalm Records Webstore. Fresh off a successful European headline tour, KAMELOT are ready to storm North America again alongside special guests Dragonforce. The tour begins November 13th in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and wraps up December 12th in Tampa, FL. A brand new trailer for the tour can be viewed below.
KAMELOT founder and guitarist Thomas Youngblood commented on the upcoming tour:
“The Haven World tour has been amazing so far, and having the chance for second North American Tour is something we cannot wait to embark on. On round one we missed some of our favorite cities, which we will now be able to visit. In addition, we have a bunch of new cities that have been screaming for a KAMELOT appearance. The time is NOW!!”
Additionally KAMELOT has teamed up with Revolver Magazine for a VIP Tour Package giveaway for select shows on the tour. Winners will get the entire VIP package which includes a meet and greet, photo with the band, signed poster, VIP laminate and early entry! Enter the contest HERE.
Last month KAMELOT released their video for the song “Liar, Liar” which features Alissa White-Gluz of Arch Enemy. The video for the song “Insomina” which ventures into a cinematic, epic and emotionally dynamic world of Haven can be seen HERE.
Produced by acclaimed music producer Sascha Paeth and mastered by Jacob Hansen, Haven is a massive album that is sure to please critics and fans alike. Additional guests include Alissa White-Gluz (Arch Enemy), Troy Donockley (Nightwish) and Charlotte Wessels (Delain). The breath-taking cover and artwork was created by Stefan Heilemann and additional art/layout was done by Gustavo Sazes.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: We’ve been fans of Kamelot here at the Metal Command HQ for almost a decade now and with each and every release they blow the Metal senses out of the park. My hopes with the new dates was for another go at NYC and perhaps the Best Buy Theater (oops) I mean THE PLAYSTATION THEATER (still not used to that changeover) or Irving Plaza. Last time they visited the original announcements said Webster Hall but we caught the band in The Marlin Room at Webster Hall which in my opinion took away from their presentation. I love this room for sure but a band like Kamelot needs a bit more grandiose staging. Despite my being fussy they absolutely crushed in the place and so did their supporting band Dragonforce. Those of you who collect guitar picks should be on the lookout since both bands have them and that is a collection upgrader for sure. Now since they are playing NJ instead of the Big Metal Apple, all of you lucky ducks better get yourselves a ticket since you don’t want to miss out on one of the finest Metal releases of the year being dished out by one of the bands that I consider to be in my Top Ten of todays Metal scene. What are your thoughts about the tour returning here or Kamelot in general? Let me know in the comments as that is what they are there for.
