I’m always excited when a band that I have some strong belief in unveils new touring information and that brings us to the mighty Kamelot who will be heading out in support of their brand new album “Silverthorn”. Check out the poster, press release and dates down below and then I’ll toss in some more thoughts. Here we go.
The Press Release:
Symphonic metallers KAMELOT will be touring North America this fall in support of their latest disc Silverthorn. The bands Delain and Eklipse will be opening all shows. Tickets for all shows are now available at www.enterthevault.com
“We are really looking forward to getting back on the road for our headline shows in the US and Canada, along with great support acts Delain and Eklipse, this tour will be something very special.” adds KAMELOT’s Thomas Youngblood.
On a recent KAMELOT European Tour, Delain proved to be a great addition as special guests, Delain’s Charlotte Wessels added, “It has been way too long since our last tour with our friends in KAMELOT! We’re hugely looking forward to joining them on tour this Fall, and we’re hugely looking forward to meeting YOU on the road rocking the US!”
In addition to Delain comes the German quartet Eklipse, whose unique style and musical approach rounds out a very diverse and stunning line-up. For fans hoping to get a little more involved, the band will be offering up VIP packages at several of the tour stops. The VIP experience includes early entry to the show, a meet and greet with the band and an autographed commemorative poster.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’ve probably cited the appreciation that I have for this bands material and overall existence because for several years now I’ve done my best to champion their cause. Now the band is coming at us with brand new material and a brand-new singer so its super important to be on point and lending that support when its most needed. Let’s all show them that the fans are behind them still and are welcoming the new blood to the fold. I’m loving what I’ve heard from “Silverthorn” and if you haven’t listened yet, trust me on this statement – its DAMN good. This tour will be my second time seeing Tommy in action as their singer with the first go-round during the Nightwish tour of 2012. I’m also excited that the band Delain is coming here with them since I have enjoyed their material for a few years as well. The only truly new experience for me will be with Eklipse and I think that I will enjoy them since I like the kind of stuff that Apocalyptica does with cellos and these ladies do similar things with violins. That leaves the rest up to you my readers. What do you think about this new tour? Will you be on point nice and early or are you taking a pass? Let me know in the comments section below because it’s always good to hear what you think.
