In celebration of the series’ 10 year anniversary, Young takes a stroll down memory lane providing behind-the-scenes commentary as he revisits various iconic and beloved Fairyland kingdoms—and some of Gert’s most infamous stomping (literal) grounds.

Fans may also be treated to a sneak glimpse of what new I Hate Fairyland adventures await them…

“Wow. 10 years? I can’t believe you let me get away with this for that long! I love it! You’re stuck with Gert now,” said Young. “She’s never going away!!!!”

FCBD 2025 I Hate Fairyland, will be available at participating local comic book shops on Saturday, May 3.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: So truth be told while I’ve perused the pages of “I Hate Fairyland” in the past, I’ve never found myself dedicated to it. That being said I am stoked to know that a title has lasted a full 10 years because publishing of these wonderful comics is sometimes perilous. Now, I should mention how much I love “Free Comic Book Day” and despite this alert being super early as the amazing geeky day is all the way ahead of us in May in the upcoming new 2025 year, I guess that they do need to get their order structure built. Generally speaking, FCBD only lets you snag a handful of freebies so if there are 5 or so main issues you covet, you might miss out on something like this “I Hate Fairyland” edition but if wherever you might visit on that day allows more then please give it a chance since its weird fun for sure. I should also stress that while FCBD is free for the consumer, it is NOT free for the retailer to get these issues and that you should spend a few bucks in the shop that you visit. With collected editions, action figures, Pops and very likely back-issue boxes to peruse you can help them maintain their shop and get some more geeky awesome for yourself. That’s a wrap on this one. Now its almost the countdown to Christmastime and I wish you all well. What do you think of this announcement? Feel free to chime in down in the comments section and I will see you next time around.
