Well my fellow geeks, we’ve done it and helped this grand news happen. After almost three months in theaters, Marvel Studios film “Avengers: Endgame” has become to Highest Grossing Film of All Time with an achievement of $2.789 billion dollars. It’s topped the long-standing “Avatar” film which has held the title since 2009 and had achieved $2.787 billion dollars during its full theatrical run. Now according to my reading, “Avatar” was in the theaters for a lot longer than “Avengers: Endgame” has been so far so who knows if the film will reach the $3 billion dollar mark when all is said and done. Let’s take a look at the main poster, premise and massive casting once more before continuing.
The Premise: Following the events of Avengers: Infinity War, with half of the universe killed in an event dubbed “The Decimation”, the universe lies in shambles and the remaining Avengers and their allies must reassemble to repair the damage caused by Thanos and bring harmony back to the universe. PiercingMetal Thoughts: I’m really, really excited about this news because it makes it clear that the folks at Marvel Studios are doing their very best to entertain us and keep us hopeful for the things to come. Now I’m not too sure on how long the films extended theatrical run will last since the digital and home video release is coming soon (discussed recently HERE) for those who missed it. Part of me thinks that this breaking news will find it remaining for at least a few more weeks but I can be wrong too. I am loving that this happened during the currently happening Comic Con International: San Diego since that is a Mega Geek Event. Now since this is a film that closes up a number of events, I will recommend that you do see this first before seeing “Spider-Man: Far From Home” since there are disclosures in the film that will spoil the outcome of “Avengers: Endgame”. Let the brutal heat the city has been experiencing find you chilling out in a comfortable theater somewhere to catch up. You’ll thank me later on this for sure. So closing up I want to direct you to some other content of importance. If you’ve missed any of our SDCC reveals just click HERE and if you didn’t find yourself glued to Twitter yesterday as we rallied along with the Marvel Studios panel from Hall H, please click HERE for all of the revealed Marvel Cinematic Universe television shows and upcoming films for the next couple of years. See you soon my friends and let’s thank the legendary memory of the great Stan Lee for giving us all of these characters in the first place.
