PiercingMetal Thoughts: Whew. Do you honestly expect me to have something to say after that rundown of absolutely killer talent? Well, I don’t have much to say outside of how much I wish that a festival like this could possibly be done in the USA somewhere. Not for anything but I don’t think that it will never happen of course and we shall be stuck with those events that find the usual suspects headlining across the board. You probably know the ones I mean, the Rob Zombie, Marilyn Manson, Five Finger Death Punch, Godsmack or Slipknot festivals. Now while I surely don’t mind those bands as headliners from time to time, it seems to be the only main stage biggies that we see over here and when you look at a three day festival like this one and the recently discussed Sweden Rock (seen HERE if you missed that post), well, it’s easy to find yourself on the disappointed side. I will close up now and let you all begin the planning of renewing or getting your passport in order and arranging travel plans to France for June. If you do end up going, know that I would love a miniature Eiffel Tower for my Metal Media HQ. Of course, Paris is over 400 kilometers away so maybe a festival t-shirt is the best option. Chime in with your thoughts about this one, I’d love to hear them, and especially so if you’ve attended already.
