Though I know that cancellation news after cancellation news comes as no surprise to the readership, we will continue to post these alerts to make sure that you check your own personal calenders and the credit card statement so you can be properly refunded. Earlier today, the mighty Hammerfall announced that they too would be cancelling the tour that was heading our way in September and October. Read on down below.
The Statement:
Some of you have already started to get your refunds, so now it’s official: the North American tour that was to take place in September/October is cancelled. That sucks, but with the current global pandemic wreaking havoc on the world we (meaning the local promoters, booking agent and the band) had no choice. We are hopeful to be able to rebook the tour for a future time, but since everything is so unstable at the moment the decision was made to scrap altogether it and return to it when things have calmed down. We are as sorry for this as you are, but hope you have understanding for our predicament brought on by the Corona virus. Stay safe, stay healthy, stay metal, and take care of each other! #HammerHigh

PiercingMetal Thoughts: There were several tours that I was really looking forward to in the Fall and this was one of them because it not only was bringing the energizing Metal of Hammerfall to the masses but also two other bands that I quite enjoy with Edge Of Paradise and Beast In Black. Let’s hope that there is some sense of “normal” returned too before too much more time goes by. While I am enjoying all of the couch videos and singing in the shower clips that bands are streaming over these last few weeks (by the way no one is posting shower singing clips), I long for the live concert stage and raising a glass to life and good times with my friends.
