The band Green Day just rocked the halls of Webster with a gig in NYC while the insanity of the NY Comic Con was in full sway. I wanted to hit that show but for me when the Con is happening there is little else that I can pay any attention to but I digress. I’ll have my chance to catch the band on their full scale tour based on the announcement below. Check out the official Press Release and the dates, then I’ll come back with some added information.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I always chuckle when I think of my initial interest in the band Green Day as I was the first from my group of friends that were listening to them. I had a band at the time and I was trying to be one of those forecasters of great tunes to play and while we were leaning on a more “classic” style of Rock and some Metal, I had deep appreciation for Punk and loved what I heard from “Dookie”. Despite the long time interest, I never caught them in concert and now as one of those music scribe types would love to add a story about their tour adventures for my medium. Based on the live clips I have seen over the years the band still has the fire and their popularity continues to grow so it’s going to be a great tour for sure. If I get there you can count on a story and images to enjoy here on the website so closing up what do you readers think about this announcement? Are you going to hit one of the shows? Let me know in the comments section below.
