This is pretty embarrassing. So as many of my more tenured readers know, when I go to a convention or trade show of any kind I like to let the event take over the Official Instagram of the website that was on point to cover it. After working on numerous posts about the event and even premiering a healthy batch of artist interviews for the Official YouTube Channel, I neglected to get around to this piece of the creative puzzle for the 2024 Five Points Festival. While I have the Toy Fair on the docket in the coming weeks, I want to do that little takeover starting today because why not. It let’s me have a bunch of latergram posts on The Gram and also reminds our audience of the coverage that was done if they missed it for some reason. I’ll begin with the image below that celebrates the spiffy press badge. I love fashioning a post with the badge and some of my fashion sense.
Before I continue, let me explain just what the Five Points Festival in case this is actually the first time that you are hearing about it. While it’s a convention its not like the New York Comic Con or the Anime NYC convention at all. This is a specialty convention that is aimed at the designer toys space. Creatives of all kinds work out their craft and bring them here to hopefully find you adding one of their often exclusive pieces to your collection. As you’ll see when the feed begins to get these Five Points Festival additions online they will be the images that were secured by the mobile device and not the ones that I took with the camera. You won’t find much cosplay at this convention but occasionally the tables will have someone dressed up if their work involves a character. When I began looking through these images on my device I was once again reminded about how much fun that I had at the convention. This is usually the event that precedes my summer vacationing with the family and I’ve been attending since their very first one in 2017. I hope you enjoy them as well and that they inspire you in some sense to attend this special convention or one of the many others that I find myself involved in.
