Greetings Mes Amis, it’s nice to see you here once more as I present to you in living color, another chapter from my coverage of the 2017 NY Comic Con. I’m getting down to the wire on the Day One stuff and this is Part 4 from that first day. I should stress that the actual NYCC ended yesterday but since I only post about 50 images in each narrative for ease of your eyes, you will be seeing these posts until I get to the point of there aren’t any more. lf you’ve missed any of the posts that preceded this one, just click on THIS LINK as it will open a battery of content for you. With this chapter I’m covering a lot of ground and going wherever the creative spirit moves me. Let’s begin with this awesome homage to Marvel Comics “Godzilla King Of The Monsters” with Reptar from Nickolodeon. If this was a shirt I’d wear it.
Some awesome stuff from Sideshow Collectibles.
While I have enough Totebags to last me a lifetime, I would love this design on a black tee shirt. Come on Strand Books, let’s make that one happen. Hopefully most of you realize this is an homage to the “Super Friends” television show from the 70’s.
This is Off Girl. She is the star of a brand-new independent comic book series. Let’s say hello.
Though its aimed at a younger audience than my own, I just love the DC Superhero Girls property. What a great way to get the younger girls to enjoy the glories of comic book heroism.
Hey look its Claudio Sanchez of Coheed and Cambria. He was at the Boom Studios booth doing a signing. It’s always great to capture him at NYCC.
He’s Brian Johnson of the “Comic Book Men” show. He was unimpressed as you can see but we expected scrutiny from the moment we chanced upon him.
Some classic toys. This Justice League set is amazing and predates me so I never owned this.
I love the “Harley Quinn” comic series, but they wanted a hefty price for this specialized cover variant.
A terrific Supergirl Cosplayer.
The man, the myth, the legend…Mr. Neal Adams.
Also his son Josh Adams.
Hey look its our old friend Scott Koblish. We’ve known Scott for years and some of you might be familiar with a comic book he works on nowadays. It’s called “Deadpool” and its super nifty.
Hey its Rodney from Vertabrae 33. You might notice some Metal Injection and Metal Sucks paraphenalia in the booth. That’s because those cats all work with each other on entertainment.
Everyone wants an Elvira action figure right? Right?
So that’s all I have for this chapter but what do you say about another one? Would you like that? Okay, ask and ye shall receive. Stay tuned for more right here on this website. Remember that during the course of the convention postings that I will be very active on our social networks so if you aren’t following us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram you’ll want to get on point. We’d love to have you along with us in this sense if you cannot attend the convention or have friends who are dressed up. I also encourage supporting the website links below from the awesome folks that were discussed in this chapter.
