Welcome back my friends to our comprehensive coverage of the 2015 NY Comic Con. You have now arrived at the second chapter of our Day Four coverage and the Final Chapter in all of these narratives about the convention. Congratulations. As I noted in the first chapter for this particular day, I was using today as a “clean up” day and getting whatever other images I could secure. One of the things that I did was wander the outside area where the buses usually pass through (they were not passing these lanes for the convention) as numerous cosplayers were taking photos with each other and with the many photographers that attend the event. Here are some of the highlights from this part of my adventure.
This gender bend Joker is a cosplayer named Aralyn Scarlet and she did an amazing job of this outfit. There was quite an audience of photographer types paying mind to her and I am happy to include her talent in my narrative today.
As we walked by we noticed that Chad Coleman of “The Walking Dead” was signing photos for any of the fans of the show and his character “Tyreese”. It was interesting to note that you had to pay $50 to use your own camera and mobile. Fans seemed willing to pay it so good for him. I’m not the biggest fan of the program at this point so would never participate in that.
Here’s Nadya Sonika once more in a very colorful cosplay. It was great to see her again at NYCC 2015 and to chat for a few minutes. I think I first added Nadya to my posts back in 2012 which seems like a lifetime ago.
Let’s not forget Stella Chu who was also a part of the booth of Cosplayers today.
Timing is everything and I was fortunate to catch two friends in the close proximity so I made a point to get a photo of them together for all of you to enjoy. That’s Marcy Lee as Catwoman and Zipper Tan as uhm ahhh err I dunno. Sorry Zipper.
Don’t mess with Loki the Goddess of Mischief as she will turn you into one of her mindless minions.
I loved the way the sunlight was hitting the cosplayer dressed as Katana so am featuring her again. She did great with this one.
That’s it my friends, we’re done. Thirteen chapters in all from across the whole four days of the convention. In case you wondered, the final tally on posted images for the whole series of posts was “652” and now you see why I like to break this all up into numerous chapters. Whew. I feel as though I lost a pound or two walking around and I certainly gave away a lot of business cards. Don’t forget to check out some of the other images from the event that were posted to the Official PiercingMetal Instagram (we’d love for you to join our followers). Kudos to the ReedPop folks who once again put together a massive event that was enjoyed by thousands and thousands of people. Hopefully I’ll be able to do this next year as well. This event just gets bigger and bigger which means more people are interested in attending.
