Welcome back my friends, I’m continuing along with what I hope will have amounted to being some epic coverage from the recent Toy Association Toy Fair that ended a few short days ago. This is my fourth post of visuals from the massive trade show and the first of the full on exhibitor booth reveals. Diamond Select Toys is always a favorite appointment as they have a number of items that I like and several that I am curious about. Let’s get this party started or actually continued since I’ve been posting already for a few days.
The way that I’ll be delivering this installment is going to be a mostly visual presentation with the occasional comment being thrown in for good measure. Sort of the way that I do my New York Comic Con coverage and with “50” images in each post until I run out for this particular exhibitor. So for those in the new, the folks at Diamond Select Toys are known for delivering high-quality action figures, statues and busts and even coolness they call Mini-mates. They also have a slightly larger Vini-mates but I didn’t notice any of those on this exploration. Here are a couple of characters from “The Walking Dead” comic book.
Diamond Select Toys seemed to bring a little of every one of their major licenses like “Dungeons & Dragons” where they had statues and mini-mates.
For this year’s Toy Fair, DST brought out a whole lot of wrestling coolness but that’s not really something that I key into at all. I’m including those visuals for those fans out there.
As a big fan of Godzilla and Kong I was floored by the quality of these statues. The Godzilla bust was also quite nice as well as the animated version. I’m not the biggest statue collector but I might have to make an exception for a couple of these.
They also brought a number of statues from their “John Wick” line. They all looked as if they were ready to spring into action. Are you a fan of this franchise?
Here’s a bust and some mini-mates from the “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles”. Who doesn’t love the TMNT?
For the next series of photos we have a little of everything from their “Star Wars” license. I’m talking about statues and busts from both the animated and live-action series and films. If you’re a “Star Wars” fan then they likely have one or more of your favorite characters ready for you to bring home.
Now its time to share some of their Marvel stuff with this Jean Grey Phoenix bust but that will have to hold you over until our second and final Diamond Select Toys installment since I am up to image #50. I’m generally quite fastidious about this stuff unless its out of my control and right now, it is not ;p
Let’s wrap this installment and bring the rest of the findings to your attention tomorrow. My plan is to offer up an exhibitor post at the beginning of each day and while I shared a whole batch of Diamond Select Toys visuals and some notations, I do have another posts worth of stuff to bring to your attention. I hope you like what you’ve seen so far because I def liked a few of these items.
