It was only a couple of weeks ago that the PiercingMetal High Command attended our very first MoCCA Arts Festival, and for those in the unaware like I initially was, MoCCA stands for the Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art. The event has been happening for several years now but was on the new side for me which is never a bad thing since it becomes complete discovery. As a pretty close to tenured media attendee of the New York Comic Con and Anime NYC, I was surely interested in exploring and talking to those artists who wished to speak to me. During the exploration a number of video interviews were done and while those are resident on the Official PiercingMetal YouTube Channel, they have also been embedded here to add the proper content to the website. I’ll start off with my arrival Short, a practice that I am trying to keep doing on any trade show, convention or concert arrival.
The first group that I talked to were the fellas from Boink Comix. They were a lot of fun and even are professors that work with their students on the output.

Next up is artists Erica Hoelting and Jacob Voorheis. They are Eisner Award winning Students which in comics is a pretty big deal. There was a third artist talked to but she reached out and asked to be removed from the clip. I did the best that I could to accommodate her.

Last up for this post is artist Adam Suerte who is not only a tattoo artist but also a comic book artist.
