Now here is a little bit of touring news that I was hoping to see happen sooner than later. It seems that Epica will be returning to this neck of the woods in the beginning of 2016 to make up the dates that had to be dropped during their most recent Fall run. Coming January, Dutch symphonic metal titans EPICA will return to North America for their rescheduled Enigma tour. This trek will have Portuguese metallers MOONSPELL as special guest and STARKILL as the opener. EPICA front-woman Simone Simons says the following about the upcoming tour:
“We were really disappointed when we were forced to drop our tour with ELUVEITIE because of my father’s life threatening accident. Luckily, my father is doing much better at the moment and it is time to return to North America to finish what we started. Unfortunately due to recording commitments, we are only able to reschedule part of the tour. We’ll try to catch up on those missing shows as soon as possible and with a new album in our pocket! We can’t wait to be back in North America together with our friends from MOONSPELL. See you at one of the shows.”

MOONSPELL frontman Fernando Ribeiro commented on the upcoming tour:

PiercingMetal Thoughts: I was super bummed when Epica had to pull out of the remaining tour dates on their most recent visit to the USA since it had been a bit of a time that the band had come over here for a visit. Fortunately for all attending, Eluveitie picked up and ran with the ball for a Folk Metal touchdown but still the question remained “When will Epica come back to us”. I am so glad for the news about this return and so early in the year to help us start off 2016 in the best possible fashion. Wow can you believe that we are almost done with 2015???? Okay I digress. Let me add to my excitement that the mighty Moonspell is going to be a part of this return and find the whole package started off by the talented Starkill.
