Epica & Eluveitie Team Up For Fall Tour 2015

The Memorial Day weekend had just finished and not only did it bring us some long overdue warm weather but the workaday week started off with the news that both Epica and Eluveitie were teaming up with Revolver Magazine and heading out on tour together in the Fall. Check out the press release and the poster below and I’ll toss my thoughts into the mix about this one afterward.

Tour - Epica Eluveitie - 2015

The Press Release:
EPICA and ELUVEITIE Partner With Revolver Magazine For North American Co-Headlining Tour This Fall; THE AGONIST Supporting On All Dates

This fall, Dutch symphonic metal titans EPICA and Swiss folk metallers ELUVEITIE will join forces to co-headline across North America. This trek, sponsored by Revolver Magazine, also has Canada’s THE AGONIST supporting on all dates. Please see below for all tourdates and VIP ticketing information. EPICA front-woman Simone Simons says the following about the upcoming tour:

“We are ecstatic to finally return to North America. It is time to nurture our long-distance relationship with our fans over in North America. We’ll have a wonderful time together and will perform songs spanning our entire discography. You guys better be ready for us.”

This will mark EPICA’s long-awaited return to North America after the band’s tour with Machine Head late 2013 got cancelled. It will also be the group’s first North American run in support of their highly acclaimed latest album, The Quantum Enigma, which hit the charts all over Europe and beyond. ELUVEITIE’s lead vocalist Chrigel Glanzmann further states:

“We’re 8 months into the ‘Origins’ World Tour now and far from getting tired! We can’t wait to finally return to the USA and Canada; especially because we’ll return alongside the mighty EPICA! By Toutatis, this is gonna be fucking awesome!”

This tour also marks ELUVEITIE’s second tour in support of their chart-topping album, Origins.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Wow! What can I say about this one outside of my being able to brag about having been at every one of these bands first ever NYC appearances when they happened. I’ll start with Epica who I’ve loved since their first album back when this kind of music was not being done by 1000 other bands. You couldn’t even get their debut CD in the USA and my appreciation still rings strong. With Eluveitie they had just sent out the promos for “Slania” and I was floored by its sound and when the band led off the first ever Paganfest USA tour several years ago it was nothing less than crushing. Everyone that caught them during that tour wanted more. Lastly we have The Agonist who are impressing fans both old and new with their new singer and material. To say that this tour is going to go over like gangbusters will be an understatement. I also love how the closing night of the tour will be in NYC at our own Irving Plaza. It’s far too early to know if any kind of contest will be held on PiercingMetal.com but whatever the case might be you know that I am going to be there for sure. It’s the perfect way to shake off the summer warmth and get back to the chilly side of the season. What do you readers think? Does this tour strike your interest? Will you be there? Let me know what you think by chiming in down in the comments which I have left open for you to do so.
