The Press Release:
Dynamite’s March 2020 variant covers have been infected with a zombie plague!
Artist Juan Gedeon is contributing 7 special connecting covers across the Dynamite line, depicting everyone’s favorite protagonists trying to survive and fight against the apocalyptic virus, or succumbing to it themselves. Fans can collect them all and imagine the untold connecting narrative between them. For even more Dynamite undead action, readers can check out the currently running KISS Zombies, Red Sonja: Age of Chaos and of course the inside of Death to the Army of Darkness – and each Vampirella title for that matter! Dynamite is proud to be the home for kickass horror-action comics.
Gedeon shared, “I always see Vampirella and Red Sonja portrayed as beautiful women, so I wanted to do the exact opposite for this! I’m glad that I got away with all this gore I drew. My biggest inspiration for this was Spawn and the Argentinean comic Cazador drawn by the beast Mauro Cascioli, his art was like Simon Bisley gone Super Saiyan.”
Gedeon colors himself on the covers for Death to the Army of Darkness #2 and Red Sonja & Vampirella Meet Betty & Veronica #10. Carlos Cabrera comes in with the grisly palette for Vampirella #9, Vampirella/Red Sonja #7, Red Sonja #14 and Killing Red Sonja #1. Colorist Mike Spicer bats in the last one with Dejah Thoris #4.
All of these Dynamite Zombie Variant Covers will be solicited in Diamond Comic Distributors’ January 2019 Previews catalog, the premier source of merchandise for the comic book specialty market, and slated for release in March 2020. Comic book fans are encouraged to preorder copies of the issue with their local comic book retailers. It will also be available for individual customer purchase through digital platforms courtesy of Comixology, Kindle, iBooks, Google Play, Dynamite Digital, ComicsPlus, and more!

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Though I don’t much get behind adding the assorted variant covers to my collection I have to say that this whole batch looks nice and grim. I’m following “KISS Zombies” since its KISS related and my implant from the bands HQ always activates when anything of theirs manifests. Dynamite Entertainment has really been putting out some quality stuff and you should be perusing their website to see what is coming out next and making sure that your local comic book retailer is ordering copies for you to get. That’s all I have to say about this alert as I am busy toiling away to get ready for the Christmas holiday and the opening of “Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker” this Friday. Let me know what you think of course and I will see you next time.
