The Details: Since 1991, the band Dying Fetus has been blowing their fans minds with their intense brand of Death Metal with its complex riffing, furious drum blast beats and lyrical themes that often deal with a political framework. Twenty two years after their formation, the bands sole original member is founder John Gallagher maintains course for the band and their latest release “Reigns Supreme” came care of Relapse Records, the bands album home for over a dozen years. Their latest tour brings them to town with support from Exhumed, Abiotic and Rivers Of Nihill and its exciting to announce that thanks to Livenation, some of the PiercingMetal Fans are going to get to enjoy this show for free. By the way, while they are listed on the poster, Devourment had dropped off the tour a few weeks ago. Read further below on how to participate in this contest.
When and Where: Friday November 1st @ Gramercy Theatre (127 East 23rd Street – NYC)
To Participate: With so many contests coming at the readers in such a fast and furious pace, I will keep this as fast and as furious as the material that Dying Fetus themselves play for their ardent fans. Simply tell me three of the reasons that you want to be at this show and I will pick the ones I like and feel knock my socks off. Make it better than “because I wanna go” since that is lame. Give me some details and some inspiration. I will be replying to our winners right below their comments so be sure to enter your full real name and an email address that lets us properly list you and reach you if we need to do so. It also never hurts to subscribe to the comments for the duration of the contest. Bring it on.
Restrictions: While all PiercingMetal.com contests are open to our regional site readers, Facebook Page likers and Twitter Followers we do look at new responders first in order to give everyone a fair shot at enjoying a show on the provider and us. I do still encourage all to participate because you never know just how many tickets we are offering and when that last person might have won. The main restriction for this one is if you had won any of our contests over the last three weeks you are not eligible for this one (that means our UFO , Soulfly, Ill Nino, Misfits and Arkona show gives). 1. I missed Dying Fetus when they played with Cannibal Corpse at Santos Party House and have regretted it ever since.
2. I started listening to Dying Fetus when I was in 7th grade and never stopped loving them.
3. I have yet to see a Death Metal concert in such an intimate venue and I’m sure the show will be unforgettable.

1. I’ve never been to a true death metal show (let alone at such an intimate venue) and would like the chance to experience one, and who better to be my first than Dying Fetus.
2. This tour is practically filled with fantastic bands such as Dying Fetus, Exhumed, Devourment, Abiotic and Rivers of Nihil (oh wait that’s all of the bands, haha).
3. I have a few friends going to the show as well. Because of money issues, I don’t ever get the chance to spend time with them, let alone at a concert. So not only would I be going for the great bands, I’d be going for fun with my friends and creating memories that I can look back on later in life.
