PiercingMetal Thoughts: I was an early adopter of the original DC Universe service when it was just coming online and that was done during the New York Comic Con so I could get a cool pin and gift packet from the DC Comics book. I watched two episodes of the “Titans” series before the trial ran out and I would try it again some months later to be able to see more episodes. At the time, the only device I had was my mobile phone and since my PS3 didn’t have the DC Universe as an app the appeal of keeping this was lost on me. I would try again at the next NYCC to get some cool “Harley Quinn” pins but with too many other subscriptions and a general disinterest in digital comics, this was not something that I enjoyed all that much. That said I am liking the notion of the shows going to HBO Max but they better get their game in gear and create access via Roku because as I write this they do not. While this is cool news, the whole digital comics is an idea that is lost on me but I have friends that love it. When the service arrives I might take a look at it once again to see if I like it but that all depends on the other monthly costs. What about you readers? Do you like this idea? Chime in down below in the comments section and don’t forget that tomorrow is “Batman Day” at your regional participating comic book retailers. That should be fun and I will have a post going live tomorrow to discuss more about it. See you then.
