It wasn’t long ago that I shared what was labeled as the “Titans” First Look at Season Two which will be streaming on the Warner Brothers network “DC Universe”. If you feel like reviewing that post just click HERE and it will open in a new tab for ease of consumption. For those new to our offerings, this is the service where fans of the DC Comics Universe can enjoy classic films, television shows and animated features along with all-new original programming and scores of comic books. The series is set to resume bringing us the adventures of the Titans on September 6th so it was a little surprising to get a full trailer the week before. Let’s take a look.
Premise: Titans focuses on a group of young superheroes who form the titular superhero team to combat evil and other perils. The first incarnation of the team to appear in the series consists of Dick Grayson, Batman’s former vigilante partner turned police detective, Kory Anders, an extraterrestrial afflicted by amnesia, Rachel Roth, an empath pursued by dangerous forces, and Garfield “Gar” Logan, a shapeshifter formerly with the Doom Patrol. In the first season, Rachel comes to Dick for protection from her pursuers, which leads to them meeting and teaming up with Kory and Gar. The team eventually learns that Rachel is being targeted by her demonic father Trigon, who seeks to enslave the world.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: As I’ve previously mentioned, I am NOT a subscriber to the DC Universe service and it’s more a matter of adding another fee onto my monthly charges. I do enjoy some of the stuff they’ve been showcasing and liked the few episodes of “Titans” that I saw. Would have enjoyed “Doom Patrol” and “Swamp Thing” but I’m not the biggest fan of reading comics on the computer. This new trailer looks pretty exciting and it’s probably only a matter of time before all of the CW Network shows are being placed here. What are your thoughts about the new season trailer and are you considering a subscription to the DC Universe service for the next go-round? If not, what is your own rationale for the cancellation? Chime in down below and I will see you next time.
