While the new DC Universe of films and television series under the guiding mind of James Gunn has already begun with the currently airing “Creature Commandos” animated series on MAX; the anticipation for a proper glimpse of next years hopeful blockbuster “Superman” was causing anxiety across fandom. Now, just in time for the Christmas holidays comes the Official Teaser Trailer for “Superman”. Also included is a brief premise and casting and artwork. Up, up and away.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Okay so I am not going to lie to you and will admit that I was rightly pissed when Gunn decided to move on from Henry Cavill for the role of Clark Kent/Superman for the new film. Let’s face it, while the DC Extended Universe was a bit of a mess, there were elements that ended up working at the end of the day and Cavill, Gadot and Affleck were all perfect castings but that is not to be going forward. Watching this trailer and seeing Corenswet in the costume pretty much brought me back to the “Superman” film that starred the late, great Christopher Reeve. I recalled seeing the film with my best friend at the time and his Mom who took us. We visited the comic book store afterwards or beforehand, I can’t recall that deeply but I was team Superman going forward. I am a tad shocked about how many different characters are in this but I will stop now because I don’t often like typing away at the teasers but before I do wrap this up can I get a “Who’s a good boy” for Krypto?
