Now we are onto the new launches from DC Comics for those who are following our Pop Culture comic books focuses. There are not a whole lot of brand new first issues launching this month but the summer is officially approaching so we have that lull and the focus becomes hitting the movies and even going outside much more than hunkering down in your respective cave reading comic books. As always there are more continuing series running but I don’t post those and instead focus on the brand new. Images and text original from DC Comics media resources and my closing editorial is all me. Let’s look.
EVENT LEVIATHAN #1: The groundbreaking and always-inventive team of writer Brian Michael Bendis and artist Alex Maleev (Jinxworld’s SCARLET, Marvel’s Daredevil) reunite on a mystery thriller that stretches across the DC Universe and touches every character from Batman to Superman to the Question to Talia al Ghul. With startling ease, a newly dangerous and aggressive Leviathan wipes out all its competition and now turns its sights to molding the world into its vision of order. Can the new threat’s growth be stopped…and who’s guiding its new agents of chaos?

PiercingMetal Thoughts: So as you can see not a lot of brand-new launches and with these two I will most likely be waiting until they are in a single collected edition. I need to move some of my single issues over to storage or sell them off to make some room. That’s unless I love the series when I peruse them on the shelves but what about you readers? Will you be picking up either of these new series? Chime in down below and I will see you next time around.
