Hey my friends, I am excited to share some convention news with you all in regards to the event known as the MoCCA Arts Fest. A short time ago, we received the following response to an editorial email inquiry.

“Thank you for your email. I have added you to the press list. You can pick up your press badge at the VIP/Press check-in in the Metropolitan Pavilion lobby.”

Now while this particular convention has been around for about two decades, I’ve never before looked into attending. Sure I am all about that New York Comic Con life since I know about so many of the properties, but when it comes to the independent side of the fence I am a bit of an ingenue. That all being said I am not really sure what to expect but I am glad to be credentialed to explore and point out the highlights for those who are reading the website. The approval actually comes only a few short days before the event is taking place and while it runs for two days I might only be able to attend on one of them. I felt that since this was my first go round that it merited one of those convention approval notices to raise awareness but as you know, we don’t get all braggy or boastful about this kind of stuff. We see others doing that and then failing to deliver but that is another soapbox for a different post 🙂 Stay tuned for my findings and before I go, I wonder if any of you folks in the readership have ever attended before.
