The Press Release:
Lady Death creator Brian Pulido was recently honored alongside 15 other industry professionals with an Inkpot Award for Achievement in Comic Arts during the 2018 Comic-Con International in San Diego, California! The Inkpot Award has been primarily awarded to comic book industry professionals since its inception in 1974 at Comic-Con International. Among its past recipients are Stan Lee, Will Eisner, Neil Gaiman, Frank Miller, Gene Colan, Jim Lee, Neal Adams, Dick Giordano and many more.
“It’s an honor to be recognized by Comic-Con International and I really appreciate it!” says Lady Death creator Brian Pulido.
Pulido’s massive resurgence in comics has been due in part to his success in using Kickstarter as a publishing platform (grossing over $1.4M in funding since 2015) and the unwavering support of his dedicated fan base known as “The Fiends.”

PiercingMetal Thoughts: This is a pretty cool honor for sure and since Pulido is behind a lot of the spooky characters that I enjoyed for so many years I cannot wait to use our Pop Culture Comics narratives to help his cause all the more. What do you readers think about that stuff? Before I close this one up I wonder which of his creations did you enjoy the most? Was it Evil Ernie, Lady Death, Chastity, Purgatory or someone that I might not have listed? Chime in down below and I shall see you again soon.
