Check Out The 2nd “The Peanuts Movie” Trailer

I’ve been meaning to post the trailer for the upcoming “Peanuts” movie since I first saw it a couple of months ago but it slipped my mind which I apologize for. Luckily the second and slightly longer trailer was released today so it let’s me share these classic characters latest big screen adventure with you all. Check it out and then let’s discuss their awesomeness.

PiercingMetal Thoughts: Now I know that this is not the typical type of movie trailer posting that I would do here on PiercingMetal.com but the Charles Schultz creations in “Peanuts” are absolutely timeless in my humble opinion. I grew up on the magic that were the animated specials “It’s The Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” and “A Charlie Brown Christmas” and can still be awed by their positive charm so many years later. There were numerous other short animated features to follow along with young Mr. Brown’s first film “A Boy Named Charlie Brown” and while three more films followed this, it has been decades since a new full length film has come along and that time is now. The clip sure looks like fun and appears to capture a lot of the magic that made these characters so beloved. Yes there does seem to be a slightly modern twist in the mix but I don’t think that too much of a deviation from Charles Schultz original vision was taken. Just from the look of it, it seems like Snoopy is going to be hilarious in all of his fantasy scenarios. The film opens up in early November of this year and I am looking forward to it and if you have younger members of your family around you should be as well. These characters offer something for everyone of all ages and the official film site lets you “Peanutsize” yourself and my results are in the following image. I guess I would look like this if I let the hair grow a little longer this winter. I guess we can call this one “Peanuts Goes Metal” LOL and I hope that you take a few minutes to do your own character design. I was going to post mine on Facebook but its so much better served here on the website.

Peanuts - KP - 2015

Will you readers be checking out this film? I know I am planning on seeing it but maybe not on its opening day. Let me know in the comments section below as I’d love to hear from you on this one. Oh yeah and fans of these characters might be interested in the line of small figurines that came out care of Schleich this year. I saw them at Toy Fair 2015 and they are wonderful for any collector.
