PiercingMetal Thoughts: You probably already know this about me, but if you don’t let me remind you that Batman was my very first and most favorite superhero. When I got a little older it became Spider-Man but he doens’t have a special day of his own yet if you can believe that. With Batman being the first to my geek natured upbringing, events like the annual “Batman Day” are just awesome to have happening. This year has been a rough one for sure with so many things cancelled, so many losses and so much uncertainty about when more of a normal scenario will return. Having the chance to celebrate all things related to The Dark Knight at your local comic book shop just help the day get better. Sadly this year my own local shop has opted out of the event because it wasn’t possible to do so. Fans tend to forget that while the freebies are free for them that they are only discounted to the owners of the shops. It’s one of the main reasons that I always say be sure to make other purchases when you visit during “Free Comic Book Day”, “Halloween Comicfest” and of course “Batman Day”. For me this means that I am not going to have access to the physical editions of these presented comic books but I can look into them for free on the ComiXology service. It’s not the same but oh well. Maybe some of my friends are reading this and can snag me copies when they visit their own regional shop but I digress. I hope you get out there and enjoy all of the Caped Crusader coolness. Chime in down below if you think that you are and I will see you next time around.
